Frequently Asked Questions

What patients ask us most

Quick answers on appointments, emergency care, insurance and what to expect on your first visit.

Why choose Daihika for neurology, neurosurgery and spine care?
Daihika Multi Speciality Hospital — formerly SVS Institute of Neurosciences — is a 100-bed tertiary care center with deep subspecialty strength in neurosciences, spine and polytrauma. Our senior consultants include Prof. Dr. D. Sreedhar (40+ years in Neurology) and Prof. Dr. K.V.R. Sastry (35+ years in Neurosurgery), supported by a 50+ doctor team, a 40-bed ICU, four operation theatres, a 96-slice Philips cardiac CT and a C-Arm DSA suite for neuro-interventional procedures.
Does Daihika offer 24/7 emergency services?
Yes. Our Emergency Department operates 24x7 with critical-care physicians, neuro-trauma and polytrauma capability, and direct access to the ICU and operation theatres. For emergencies, please call 040-4149 9999 immediately.
Is ambulance service available?
24/7 ambulance dispatch is available on the emergency number 040-4149 9999. Please share the patient's location and a brief on the situation when calling so the right level of support can be sent.
What insurance and TPA networks do you accept?
We work with most major Indian insurance providers and Third Party Administrators. For the current network list and to confirm cashless eligibility for your policy, please call our front desk on 040-4149 9999 before your visit and have your policy/ID card ready.
Is cashless treatment available?
Cashless treatment is available for our empanelled insurance networks, subject to the terms of your policy. Our insurance desk can initiate pre-authorisation with your TPA on admission. For planned procedures, we recommend starting the cashless process 48–72 hours in advance.
What should I bring to my first consultation?
Please bring a government photo ID, all prior medical records and prescriptions, the latest scans (MRI/CT films and reports), a list of current medications, and your insurance or TPA card if you plan to use it. If the consultation is for a child or elderly patient, an attendant is welcome.
Do you have an ICU and advanced critical care?
Yes. We operate a 40-bed Intensive Care Unit with round-the-clock intensivist coverage, advanced ventilator and monitoring systems, and dedicated capability for neuro, post-operative and trauma critical care. A 20-bed step-down/rehab unit supports recovery after ICU.
Do you treat international patients?
Yes — we welcome international patients, particularly for neurosciences, spine and complex surgical care. Our team can share treatment estimates and assist with visa documentation, airport pickup and accommodation guidance. To begin, write to info@daihikahospitals.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91 9000 908 484.
How can I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment by calling 040-4149 9999, messaging us on WhatsApp at +91 9000 908 484, using the appointment form on our Contact page, or visiting our OPD at 3-3-67/b, Lingampally Cross Road, Kachiguda, Hyderabad – 500027.
What are the visiting hours and attendant policy?
OPD timings are 8:00 AM–8:00 PM on weekdays, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM on Saturday and 9:00 AM–2:00 PM on Sunday. Inpatient visiting hours and attendant policies vary by ward — ICU access is limited to one attendant per patient at designated times. Please confirm specifics with the nursing station on admission.
